School is in full swing and I’ve done a few school readings; just so much fun to see all those little eyes and minds engaged. Silas and Opal Meet has been met with thumbs up, thundering applause and many comments from the students about various types of cat behaviors! I derive much pleasure from reading my books to children.
I am also really looking forward to upcoming events supporting animal welfare organizations. I recently attended a local Justice for Dogs event and will be heading to Pet Food Warehouse in South Burlington for their “Wag It Forward” event on Saturday, Sept. 19th, donating $1 per book sold to participating humane societies, rescue and nonprofit animal welfare groups. Next week, I will be supporting Kingdom Animal Shelter with an author’s visit and reading at the Cabot Public Library on Main Street in Cabot on Weds., Sept. 23rd. with $1 per book sold going to Kingdom Animal Shelter.
